Our Mission
KOR is a non-profit (501c3), membership based network of representatives from government, industry, non-profit and public entities and individuals that support environmental stewardship through waste reduction, composting, reuse, recycling, and sustainable efforts in Kansas.
KOR provides advocacy, information, technical support, networking and educational opportunities in partnership with local, state, regional and national organizations.
The Kansas Organization of Recyclers does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, membership, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. Board of Directors
The KOR Board of Directors is comprised of up to fifteen, but no fewer than five, members. who represent the various categories of membership. These unpaid volunteer are responsible for steering the strategic vision, ensuring legal and ethical compliance, and taking responsibility for the organization's financial health and fundraising success.
Board members and officers serve two-year terms, and are eligible for re-election for up to five consecutive terms.
