Mission & Board

KOR is a non-profit (501c3), membership based network of representatives from government, industry, non-profit and public entities and individuals that support environmental stewardship through waste reduction, composting, reuse, recycling, and sustainable efforts in Kansas.

KOR provides advocacy, information, technical support, networking and educational opportunities in partnership with local, state, regional and national organizations.

The Kansas Organization of Recyclers does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, membership, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

KOR is also a member of the US Composting Council and Keep America Beautiful.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

KOR Voting Members elect the Board of Directors each year at the Annual Conference. The Board has a maximum of 15 members who serve two-year terms. Terms are staggered so  half the Board members' terms expire each year.  Only KOR Voting members are eligible to serve on the Board.

Board Meeting Dates

The KOR Board meets quarterly. All meetings begin at 10 a.m., unless otherwise noted. Please contact the KOR office to verify the schedule before attending a meeting.
